Early Études is a multi-volume retrospective series of short albums surveying two decades of songwriting by Marcos de Jesús "de la Guagua". These studies are from either “early” in this career, or at an early stage of production, relative to an ultimate vision. Enjoy performances and compositions that are vulnerable, direct, emotional, lyrical and dope. These rough stage productions describe the depth and strength of a musical and lyrical catalogue. Songs grounded in the conviction that: The drum is enough. The voice is enough. We are enough. We don’t need auto-tune. We don’t even need cars. ¡Yo soy de la Guagua! I’m with us.
